MIROSLAV ZAHRADN\u00cdK<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music educator, guitarist & composer, musicologist<\/mark><\/strong><\/summary>\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*1975, Pova\u017esk\u00e1 Bystrica, Slovakia<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musicologist, guitarist, music educator, and publicist. He graduated with honors in Musicology from the Faculty of Arts at Comenius University in Bratislava (2003) and completed his doctoral studies focused on the harmony of contemporary jazz (2018). He is currently studying jazz performance at the J\u00e1n Albrecht Music Academy in Bansk\u00e1 \u0160tiavnica.\n\nHe has been active as a guitar instructor since 2002 (jazz, rock, blues, improvisation, music theory), and since 2016 he has been teaching jazz guitar and jazz harmony at the Dezider Kardo\u0161 Private Conservatory in Topo\u013e\u010dany. As an educator, he has prepared several students for university studies both in Slovakia and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is actively involved in the Slovak music scene as a guitarist and composer. In his project jEzzSPRIT<\/strong> he blends jazz mainstream with elements of popular and classical music. His orchestral compositions Angel\u2019s Fantasy<\/strong> and Metamorphoses<\/strong> have reached the finals of a prestigious international competition. The UK Songwriting Contest (2016, 2025) in the instrumental category.<\/strong>As a music publicist, he collaborates with professional periodicals such as Hudobn\u00fd \u017eivot, Nov\u00fd Popul\u00e1r, Skjazz.sk, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the university level, he has lectured on subjects focused on jazz harmony and ensemble performance. He is the author of the university textbook \u201cFundamentals of Jazz Harmony \u2013 Principles and Context\u201d (Comenius University Bratislava, 2018). Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a number of prominent Slovak and international musicians and has performed in various musical projects (SLOWHAND PROJECT<\/mark><\/strong><\/a>, Zuzana Such\u00e1nkov\u00e1<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> Blues Band and Bossa Rosa...) spanning genres from jazz and blues to fusion.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Music is the language through which I tell stories \u2014 through my own compositions and creative improvisation. Teaching materials are the grammar that gives musical language its shape and meaning.
